Mellow Johnny's

More video from the Palmetto Peloton Project's Challenge to Conquer Cancer ride. A quick video tour of Lance Armstrong's Austin bicycle shop, "Mellow Johnny's". A cool shop with some pretty good coffee.

I wondered what type of service I'd find there. Was this just a "tourist trap" for catching Lance fans? Well, they were very helpful. I needed a new mount for my Garmin 705 and while they didn't have one in stock, they looked to find a solution. Ultimately, they cannibalized a full unit to help me get what I needed.

It is a honest to goodness LBS.

Jonathan it's Nueces street that Mellows is at in Austin. I rode Livestrong as well and finished in 4:23 real time and under 5 hours with the stops. You were motoring because of where you were in the crowd and what you did to get to the front. I was even further back at the start and it was a jam up to get thru all of the bodies and find a motoring group. Your vid was awesome because it displays just how rough the roads were at the beginning. I didn't wear gloves and I was hanging on for dear life. You can find me at pg 373 in ride on course in Kreutz photography and 175 of 234 chute section. I have on a purple Fasa Bortolo jersey. Thanks again for your video I would like to hear details of how you did it. JPC
